Ky-Phong,
How the Dickens are you? I just got your circular
e-mail regarding T.A. positions, etc., and I wish you
the very best in squeezing some funding out of UCR. To
practice, pick up the nearest stone, and squeeze. If
red gooey stuff pours out, you'll have a good shot.
I hope you're surviving the third quarter (nearly
half-way through); I certainly miss being with you
guys, and fully realize the necessity of the workshop
experience. What are you writing now? I very much
enjoyed your work; did you re-write the "Raceland"
story? I thought it had a lot of potential. I'm
putting final touches on the circus midget story I
wrote in Dana's first-person class, so hopefully I'll
get it out there soon. Say hello to Patrick and the
rest of the guys, and if you're up in Lake Arrowhead,
give me a shout.
Take care,
Steve.
