I can confirm that this is a wonderful residency. I’ve done it twice.

Joseph Reynolds. I'm a novelist, essayist, and professor, and the founding director of The Sancho Panza Literary Society which holds writers residencies at Trinity College Dublin and publishes New Square Literary Magazine. As the new academic year begins, and we get set to open to applicants for next summer’s Trinity College Dublin residency program, I want to continue my tradition of reaching out to our affiliates first. Your students and colleagues in particular have made a profound impact on what we do, and it is of top priority for me that we maintain that UCR presence in our sessions. They will be given first priority for space.
The session specific information is attached to this email, and the pillars of our residency remain unaltered. Members of the cohorts will have the opportunity to submit multiple pieces to workshop, participate in an end of session reading event, and immerse themselves culturally in Dublin and the wider Irish landscape by attending plays at Dublin’s iconic theatres, taking a day trip to Howth and The Irish Sea, and visiting the MOLI museum and The National Art Gallery, both short walks from campus. Perhaps most important, they will be in residence at TCD, one of the world’s greatest literary landmarks, located directly in the city center.
They’ll once again be joined by grad students, as well as established writers and faculty from such places as Columbia, Florida, NYU, Cal, Emerson, Va Tech, Williams, Yale, Harvard, U Chicago, and Ohio State, among many others. We also have a winter session that is open to the public if that fits a candidate's schedule and interest better. As mentioned, a description and sample itinerary are attached. Staff bios (including mine) and back issues of our lit magazine can be found at www.sanchopanzalit.com <http://www.sanchopanzalit.com/>. Thank you so much for your support; the program has exceeded my wildest expectations, solely because of the people who attend it.
Cheers,
JR
