summer by writers including Santee Frazier and T Kira Māhealani Madden.

Santee Frazier <https://t.e2ma.net/click/mlv9jh/iyeaak/mlraqv>’s craft
session, The Poetics of Typographic Design, will serve as a reminder that
poetry, apart from other literary forms, is a holistic endeavor. In this
session, you will explore how the fundamentals of typographic design can
deepen your approaches to sculpting poems. Frazier will also offer a Poetry
Workshop which will focus on establishing mindful poetry practice with an
emphasis on constraints and craft. Participants will, together, focus on
visual and sonic elements of poetry through experimentation with white
space, image, form, and typographic design.

T Kira Māhealani Madden <https://t.e2ma.net/click/mlv9jh/iyeaak/2dsaqv>’s
craft session, Feeding the Lake, is on creative community and artmaking in
times of crisis, uncertainty, and doubt. This talk might be for you if
you’ve found yourself asking: why make things at all? In T Kira Māhealani
Madden’s generative workshop, The Self, The Selves: A “Nonfiction”
Workshop, participants will experiment with splintered structures,
alternate realities, hypothetical What If’s? and different versions of the
Self as Narrator in order to find the truest version of a story.

We are absolutely elated to be able to also hear from both of these writers
at an evening reading followed by a Q&A.
