Hi Campus Executive Associate Deans,

UC ANR and the REC System Directors have developed a REC Booster Grant Program (see attached advertisement) to further reduce the cost of initiating a new research project at a Research and Extension Center (REC). The goal of the program is to introduce new UC academics (hired July 1st, 2017 or later and new PI working at a REC) to the benefits of conducting research at a REC. The specific details are provided in the attached PDF.

Katherine Webb-Martinez suggested I reach out to all of you as a good way to get this information out to the academics on your respective campuses. We only have funding available for five (5) new projects at each of our 9 RECs and the funding is only available for FY 22/23.

Any efforts on your part to bring awareness to this program are truly appreciated. If you have questions about the program, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
