[CITL] Notice of Planned Data Center Outage on August 13, 2025

Fellow CITL Member,

Please be advised that all campus IT services will experience a scheduled
unavailability between 12:01 AM to 8:00 AM on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
This essential downtime is dedicated to the critical first phase of our
data center Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) installation. This vital
project is led by our colleagues in Planning, Design, and Construction
(PD&C) and Facilities Services (FS), in partnership with Information
Technology Solutions (ITS), to enhance the resilience and reliability of
our IT infrastructure.

Please note:


   -

   Single sign-on (SSO) services will be affected by this maintenance and,
   as a result, campus users will not be able to access any campus services
   during this planned maintenance period.
   -

   Mail routing and delivery will be impacted by this maintenance.
   -

   Phone lines may be inoperable during the maintenance period. However,
   campus users may use Zoom Phone to contact campus emergency services by
   installing the Zoom mobile app on their devices and signing in using their
   UCR credentials ahead of the planned maintenance period.


While ITS-managed services will be unavailable during the planned
maintenance window, ITS does not anticipate service disruptions outside of
this timeframe. In the event you experience a service disruption outside of
the scheduled maintenance window, please report it at
https://its.ucr.edu/help or 951-827-4848.

This is the first of two data center maintenance events. You will be
notified again before the next maintenance event takes place.
