Monday September 23 starting at 7PM - Tuesday September 24 1:00 AM

Please be advised that the Campus Network will be undergoing maintenance
starting at 7PM Monday September 23, 2024 - 1:00 AM Tuesday September 24,
2024.

The purpose of the maintenance window is to ensure that all functions of
the School of Medicine generator are operable. The testing will include
verifying that the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) operates correctly and
power is not dropped when transferred to the generator.

This testing will require a number of complete power drops to the entire
SOME building, simulating an actual campus wide power outage. The testing
may last up to 6 hours of intermittent power drops. Facilities will be
conducting the test along with the generator vendor. ITS Network staff will
be onsite as well during the test.

We are requesting that all devices within the SOME DC be gracefully
shutdown proactively in order to protect the equipment.

Attached to this email is a list of the applications/devices that will be
affected during this testing. Please coordinate with your staff to ensure
that we have not missed anything from your specific area. Also, please
ensure that your team has the appropriate staff available to shut down the
equipment and bring it back online at the completion of the testing.

Thank you,
Sheri
