Subject: UCPath Job Codes - possible impacts
Dear CITL colleagues,
UCPath recently communicated to campuses that the current Job Code format of 001234 (4-digits) is expected to move to 5-digits (012345) by the end of this calendar year. Technically, this is a 6-digit number and any campus applications using job codes should already support it. However, there is a potential risk if applications are not currently configured to accommodate the full 6 digits.
We know that HRDW already accommodates 6-digit job codes, but other downstream systems may be affected if they are not using the full 6-digit number. For example, if the system currently removes the preceding zeroes and only stores 4 digits.
ITS requests that you work with your departments to perform an initial assessment and let us know:
1) If you anticipate having affected applications that will require further analysis
2) If yes, please provide the names of those applications
3) How much time you will need to confirm that there is, in fact, an impact
Please respond to the above questions by May 13th, 2022.
Thank you,
