[CITL] Notice of Preventative Maintenance Affecting vHost Websites

[UCR Information Technology Solutions]

Dear CITL Members, 

Please be advised of preventative infrastructure maintenance affecting all
campus websites hosted on the vHost platform. This maintenance event will
take place from 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM PST on Saturday, December 12, 2020.   

During the maintenance window users will be unable to access any website
that is currently hosted on vHost. All Website Factory Managers have been
notified. Campus websites that are not hosted on vHost will not be impacted
by this change.  

This planned maintenance is required to prevent unexpected outages, such as
the one experienced last weekend. Given the urgent need for this
maintenance, the event date and time were selected to try to ensure minimal
potential impact to campus operations and events.
