  * IE Workers Rising Zoom Event on Th, 9/15 at 6-7:30pm

It’s me, Caitlin Biljan! I hope you’re doing great!!! I work at KPCC/LAist these days and you may already know about this event, but just in case, here are some details and a shareable flyer for you in case you wanted to share out to the community!

It’s going to be a really good discussion on mental health and student activism. Adolfo Guzman-Lopez will host with special guests (I think including Liz Mondgragon) and there will be a DJ spinning records inspired by Oscar Gomez’s college radio show beforehand!

It’s free and I love that it’s geared towards supporting student activists.

I hope to be on campus one of these days here!!! Hope all is well!

Details and flyer for you:

FREE
Tuesday, Sept. 13
Doors open at 7 p.m.
The Cheech

DJ will spin before the discussion (all-vinyl inspired by “forgotten revolutionary” Oscar Gomez’s college radio show)

Hi Estella,

I'm attaching a flyer for a speaker panel featuring workers who are organizing both on our campus and in the region (at Amazon and Starbucks).

The panel is via zoom on Th, 9/15 at 6-7:30pm. To RSVP and receive the zoom link for it, use this link: bit.ly/ieworkersrising<http://bit.ly/ieworkersrising>

If you or someone at CSP can forward the attached flyer to the CSP list-serve, that would be super helpful to help us get the word out. We are planning to have a follow-up event that is in-person in the fall.

All the Best,
--
