Dear All,

Please see the attached documents and the email below from the central
Academic Personnel Office (APO) regarding the 2024-25 Negotiated Salary
Trial Program.  Below are the published deadline dates for submittal of
these requests:

               *NSTP Packet due to Chair            April 3, 2024*

*               NSTP Packet due to CNAS           April 15, 2024**

*               NSTP Packet due to Dean            May 3, 2024*

*               NSTP Packet due to VPAP            May 17, 2024*

Instead of establishing a contingency fund, the Dean’s Office will provide
necessary funds in the rare event that NSTP specified funding becomes
unavailable due to a revoked award or similar unexpected circumstance.  *Any
and all funds provided by the Dean’s Office to uphold the NSTP contract are
considered a loan and must be repaid by the faculty member from their 5%
F&A return*.  The funds can be repaid over multiple years if the loan
amount exceeds a single year’s F&A return.

A supplement to Form B (see attached excel spreadsheet) was developed to
help gather all necessary elements for the financial side of NSTP
participation with more accurate projections of costs.  Departments are
encouraged to utilize this form within the NSTP request packet.

While the APO published deadline for Dean review is May 3, *CNAS is asking
proposals to be submitted by April 15** so we have sufficient time to
verify the forms for accuracy and completeness, and obtain the appropriate
signatures. *Please forward your proposals to Cherie Pierce, Ashley Lawson
and myself*.

Lastly, there will be two training sessions conducted by Cherie Pierce via
Zoom scheduled for Friday, March 22nd at 1:30pm

Although optional, it is highly encouraged for staff involved in the
