Good afternoon,

Happy Friday!

I hope this email finds you well.

I am sending this email in hopes to inform you on some slight changes that UCR TAPS are requiring for guest parking permits, that will ultimately expedite the parking request.

Before, TAPS just needed basic information of the guest and a quick stop at the KISOK in Lot 1 to pick up a parking permit. Now with the parking system being electronically managed, UCR TAPS is requesting additional information regarding the vehicle the guest will be bringing.

If the guest is needing a parking permit, please ask them the details of the vehicle they will be bringing: license plate number, make & model, and color of the vehicle. If this information is provided ahead of time, at minimum 1 day before the visiting day, the guest no longer needs to stop by the KIOSK in Lot 1 as their vehicle will be automatically registered in the system and can park immediately at the lot they were assigned when they visit.

When it come to vehicle rentals, the only difference is the guest will need to stop by the KIOSK in Lot 1 to register the vehicle in the system. There, the TAPS employee will enter the vehicle details and guide the guest to where they need to go.

So, please remember to ask the guest the details of their vehicle!

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Best,
