Hello everyone, I hope all are doing well.

How are your TA assignments going?  Have the TA appointment letters been
submitted or are they currently in process, and have the TA assignment
section been entered into Banner?  Note, the deadline to issue appointment
letters is 8/22.

As you complete the hiring of fall ASEs, this is a good time to update your
program's financial tracking sheets.  I've created a fall 2025 folder

so please place a copy once you've updated your information for both PhD
and MA students in your program.  Please don't delete graduated students,
they will be kept in the spreadsheet for historical purposes. If you can
update them before the start of fall quarter, that would be helpful.
Please consult with your FAO on submitting a misconduct survey for new
ASEs.

In regard to the GSJO portal <https://chassintranet.ucr.edu/gsjo/>,
circulating these job opportunities to your graduate students as soon
as you receive them is extremely important.  Could you please copy me or
your FAO when circulating future postings.  This will help us keep track
when students are notified.

I'm finalizing the agenda for the CHASS Graduate Welcome Orientation, and
everyone will be receiving it soon. I will be sending a separate table of
your incoming students who have RSVP'd so that you can see who's coming and
who hasn't responded and a follow-up will be super helpful.
