Welcome to a new academic year, a new beginning... below are some opportunities. We hope to be in community with one another throughout the year! Looking forward to seeing you all at our programs

Student Parent Social
I hope you are all doing well. We like to invite you to our student parent social on September 30th at 11am. The purpose of this program is to have student parents engage in meaningful conversations about our experiences while been parents and students. To also make sure you feel supported during this Fall virtual academic year. We look forward to seeing you via zoom. I have attached the flyer for reference and please share if you like.

Chicano Latino Orientation Week - October 12 - 16th!
Chicano Student Programs invites you to a week of events and programming that offer a bienvenida to all of our UCR familia and celebrate Chicano Latino Heritage Month! We will conclude the week with our annual Bienvenida featuring the resident DJs of Cumbiatón<https://www.cumbiaton.org/about> and a chance to meet the Raza student organizations! CSP Community Drop-In Hours -October 21 - December 2nd
(Biweekly Series).
Check-in, chat and build comunidad! Join us for our biweekly drop-in hours on Wednesdays from 2pm-3pm (10/21, 11/4, 11/18, 12/2).  Meet with staff, faculty and Chicano Link Peer Mentors. Sessions are open to all students. Flyer Attached.

The Census
The deadline to fill out the census is this Wednesday, September 30, 2020. We challenge you do your own research. What you will find is that the census has an effect on everything in your life. Counting everyone is critical to ensure that our region has the funding necessary to give our communities the resources they need. Do your part! Fill out the census and tell your friends and family to do so as well. Only one person per household has to do it for the entire household. It takes 10 minutes and it will have an effect on everything for the next 10 years! Go to 2020census.gov to fill it out!
