SEEDS National Field Trip W.K. Kellogg Biological Station in Michigan

*April 27-30, 2023*

Seeking undergraduate students to apply and join the SEEDS program at The
W.K. Kellogg Biological Station (KBS)

Michigan State University’s largest off-campus education complex and one of
North America’s premier inland field stations. Located between Kalamazoo
and Battle Creek, Michigan, KBS is a 3,873 acre station for field
experimental research in aquatic and terrestrial ecology that takes
advantage of diverse managed and unmanaged ecosystems. The varied habitats
of KBS include forests, old fields, streams, wetlands, lakes, and
agricultural lands.

Selected students will have the opportunity to explore this unique station
with professionals and gain hands on experience in ecology research
practices at KBS. They will receive mentoring from SEEDS Alumni and Staff
about future opportunities and careers in ecology!



*All costs of participation are covered by SEEDS with funding from the *

*Eligibility:*

To be eligible, undergraduate students *must *be enrolled in
college/university within the United States.



*Preference is given to Freshmen, Sophomores and other students that have
not had prior opportunities in ecology research or field experience.
Students from underrepresented minority groups are strongly encouraged to
apply.*
