Anza-Borrego Foundation is pleased to announce two research scholarships
for undergraduate and graduate students conducting field studies within the
Colorado Desert and Peninsular Ranges of southern California. *Applications
for both scholarships are due on December 15, 2020.* Application guidelines

Proposals will be evaluated for scholarly merit, project design and
feasibility, and contribution to the future of conservation in the
region. *Awards
will be made on or before January 15, 2021.* Researchers must obtain all
necessary permits for conducting their research.

This competitive grant program assists graduate students conducting field
studies in ecology, systematics, evolutionary biology, and conservation
biology in the Colorado Desert and Peninsular Range region of southern
California. Grants of up to $2,500 will be awarded annually to assist
graduate students with travel, supplies, equipment and other costs
associated with field work.

This competitive grant program assists undergraduate and graduate students
conducting field studies in ornithology within the Colorado Desert and
Peninsular Ranges of southern California. Grants of up to $2,000 will be
awarded annually to assist college students with costs associated with
field work related to bird research. Costs can include equipment, supplies,
and travel. Research within State Parks of the region will receive special
consideration in the award process.
