Hi there,

I hope you are having a great summer! I wanted to pass information on this
upcoming talk along to you, and ask if you can spread the word on it? Below
is the talk title and description, along with a poster.

"Joshua Trees and Resistance: Will climate change, wildfire, or fascism
kill them soonest?"

Joshua tree biologist, conservation activist, and UCR graduate student Nick
Graver will speak about these bizarre succulent trees and the escalating
threats facing them. When faced with rapid change, we are given three
choices:
- Resist where we can make a difference
- Accept the change we can tolerate
- Direct the change to a better future
In this talk, we will explore how this RAD framework--developed originally
as a tool for protecting natural resources in the face of climate
change--can be adapted towards fighting fascism and saving our public
lands, our democracy, and our identities.
