ATTENTION SENIORS:

The result of a federal grant awarded to California State University Los Angeles (CSULA), LA Urban Teacher Residency (LAUTR) is preparing future math and science teachers to help close the achievement gap. Teacher residents work side-by-side with a mentor teacher for an entire school year while taking graduate-level classes at CSULA. Upon completion of the 14-month training period, they earn their preliminary teaching credential and a master's degree in education. Residents are given an $18,000 living stipend and must commit to teach for three years in a high-need public school.

Interested candidates are encouraged to attend an information session or speak with an LAUTR representative at the UCR Graduate School Fair on 11/1/12 in the Rivera Library Mall from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.
