Dear SMI Students,
As you prepare for your finals, please consider the campus resources listed
below as an effort to manage this potentially stressful period.
Student wellness is important during finals! The Student Wellness Partner
Offices are offering various ways for students to unwind this finals season!
"Burn the Stress Away"
Tuesday, November 30th
7PM - 9PM on Highlander Lawn (Between Watkins and the Belltower)
Sponsored by: African Student Programs, Counseling Center, The Well, and
Mental Health Outreach, Stressbusters, Active Minds, Golden ARCHEs,
R.E.A.C.H., and Well Peers
Take a break around a campfire this finals period. Students can make
S'mores, share stories, learn about helpful stress management tips and
unwind.
"Stress Relief Stop"
Wednesday, December 1st
11AM - 2PM by the Belltower
Sponsored by: Counseling Center, The Well, and Mental Health Outreach,
Active Minds, Golden ARCHEs, Stressbusters, R.E.A.C.H., and Well Peers
Visit the "Stress Relief Stop" for some midday unwinding. Try out
biofeedback, watch a sitcom, learn a joke, pick up a finals survival kit,
and/or pet a therapy dog.
"Graduate Student Yoga Challenge"-An Opportunity for Graduate Students to
Unwind and Win Prizes!
Tuesday, December 7th
5-6pm, Graduate Student Association Conference Room
Sponsored by: The Well
Join a graduate student instructor for an introductory yoga class designed
for busy graduate students who need to unwind. Participants will be entered
into raffles for free yoga classes, mats, and ipods to get you started with
graduate student fitness.
