Dear Patty,

This is fantastic news for our graduate students and the Plant Biology grad program. A big thank you to all who worked on this proposal, especially to Thomas and others who will help to run it.

I don’t know if the new program will include communications training. If anyone in our department has connections with faculty in Theater or another department who might help with communications training. I would like to set up a workshop or two for our students and the Plants3D trainees so that all gain more experience in telling their science story to varied audiences. Many of us provide pointers, but practice makes perfect. Please let me know.

Best,

Julia

Others who contributed are Janet Franklin (co-PI), Tim Close, Arthur Jia, Amy Litt, Venu Reddy, Philippe Rolshausen, Jamie Van Norman, and Linda Walling. I hope I am not forgetting anyone!
