Hello Grad Advisors,


Advanced graduate students can learn to be effective mentors through the *Power
of the Peers Conference*, a day-long training on September 24th, 2025.
Training is delivered by the Graduate Student Mentorship Network staff and
trained, seasoned UCR Graduate Student Peer Mentors. Training topics
include mentoring best practices, understanding the role of the mentor,
conducting successful mentoring sessions, active listening and responding,
and a previous mentor panel, among others.

Grad students who complete the day-long training walk away with a training
certificate and badge. To reserve a spot, *graduate students must RSVP by
