Subject: [Statstudent] Extension of Department Remote Operations through January 28th

Dear Faculty and Graduate Students,

As you know campus has extended remote instruction through January 28th. In line with campus practice for the concern of the Omricon variant and to reduce the spread of COVID 19, the department office staff will continue working remotely during extension of remote instruction. We anticipate a return to in-person operations on January 31st when in-person instruction is to resume.

For more information regarding testing and return to campus protocols, please visit Campus Return | Campus Return (ucr.edu)<https://campusreturn.ucr.edu/>. Daily wellness checks<http://wellnesscheck.ucr.edu/> and face masks will still be required on campus. Any positive covid results should also be reported via the Daily Wellness Check<http://wellnesscheck.ucr.edu/> even though we are remote and not on campus. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Some of you may have heard that the CDC has revised guidance on the types of masks. As a reminder, the department does have surgical masks available for you in small quantities to have as backups for you or any of your students may need when we return to in-person instruction. Please continue to check the Environmental Health and Safety website for the latest updates on mask requirements at Face Coverings | Campus Return (ucr.edu)<https://campusreturn.ucr.edu/face-coverings> . Employees may request a limited number of N-95 masks, but you must complete a training and also schedule an in-person fitting.
