[Biomed_students_phd] Winter and Spring 2021 BMSC 254 - Research in Progress Student Schedule

Dear Biomed Students,

Please find attached the schedule for BMSC 254 Pizza Friday Seminar - Research in Progress for Winter and Spring Quarters.

Mark your calendars:
CGNI Symposium in on January 8, 2021 (please register to attend)

Recruitment is on January 22,2021 and we hope all will be involved. Dr. Garcia-Castro and I will send the schedules and info about the day.
We will have 2 student presentation during Recruitment: one from a student close to defense and one earlier in the graduate school career. We proposed 2 names, but are open to changes so please e-mail me if you want to change.

Since we have more students than available Fridays, preference is given to more senior students to prepare for the rapidly approaching defense.


  *   Year 4-6 students have a 45-50min. presentation time slot (remember to allow time for Q&A)
  *   Years 3 students have a 25-min. presentation time slot (two presentations are scheduled each Friday)
  *   Years 2 students have a 15-min. presentation time slot (three presentations are scheduled each Friday)
  *   Year 1 students have 10-min. presentation time slot (all four presentations are scheduled for one Friday)

If you have a conflict with your date, for whatever reason, find a person in your cohort to switch and notify me and Dr. Sika Zheng of the change.

A reminder, Pizza Friday is mandatory class. It is important to support your fellow students, so schedule your experiments around it.
