Dear Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program Faculty,
This year we welcomed 5 excellent new PhD students to the BMSC graduate program. They all participated in the School of Medicine White Coat ceremony last month and are already well into their first year of the program.
As the Fall quarter starts, I want to reach out to all faculty in our program to request nominations and self-nominations for our 2026-2027 Admissions Committee. If you are interested in taking a student in the next couple years, this is a great opportunity for you to play a role in this important process and identify students you think would be a great fit for your research and our graduate program.
Participation requires the following:
* Review and score applications during the first 2 weeks of December
* Attend an in-person admissions committee meeting in mid-December, before the break
* Attend a handful of virtual interviews in the second week of January
If you are interested in participating in this committee, or know someone who would be a good candidate, please contact me at erica.heinrich at medsch.ucr.edu<mailto:erica.heinrich at medsch.ucr.edu>.
All the best,
Erica Heinrich
BMSC Graduate Advisor for Admissions
