Greetings from the Embassy of Australia! We are writing to share a great
opportunity for researchers, staff and academics to build international
professional links and institutional collaborations with Australia.



The Endeavour Awards is the Australian Government’s internationally
competitive, merit-based scholarship program providing opportunities for
citizens of the Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas to
undertake study, research and professional development in Australia. Awards
are also available for Australians to undertake study, research and
professional development abroad.



We would ask you to please publicise these funding opportunities to
researchers,
academics and staff at the NSF who may be interested in applying.
Applications for 2012 are now open; the application deadline is 30 June

*Apply for an Endeavour Research Fellowship*

Conduct postgraduate or postdoctoral research in Australia. The Endeavour
Research Fellowships provide financial support up to AUD$23,500 for
postgraduate students and postdoctoral fellows from the US to undertake
short-term research (4-6 months) towards a Masters or PhD (which they are
enrolled in a participating country) or postdoctoral research in any field
of study in Australia. The Endeavour Research Fellowships support
comparative or collaborative research in Australia as part of a postgraduate
or postdoctoral research program. *Click

Research Fellowships are also available for *Australian* postgraduate or
postdoctoral students who wish to come to the US to conduct research. If you

Build professional links and collaborations with Australia. The Endeavour
Executive Award provides up to AUS$18,500 for mid-career professionals in
business, industry, education or government to undertake 1-4 months of
professional development in Australia. Examples of professional development
include management training, peer-to-peer learning, mentoring, and short
courses. Applicants must be nominated by an Australian host organisation and
the professional development activity must be vocationally useful and not
geared toward completion of a degree, or an immediate commercial
