Hi Paige,

Jasee Rana forwarded me your contact information as someone who may be interested in attending this event. Please feel free to forward the flyer to anyone whom you know who lives in the cities of Perris, Menifee, Lake Elsinore, Corona, Norco, Wildomar, Murrieta, or Temecula. The RSVP is included on the flyer.

There hasn’t been a youth unit in our SW Riverside region for some time, so I discussed reactivating one with the local branch executive board. At this time, we are preparing to host our first official meeting to review the bylaws, select a youth executive board, and elect a permanent advisor. I am acting as an interim advisor during this organizing process.

What’s unique about the youth unit is that it is almost entirely run by youth. They elect their own treasurer, work with the advisor to secure grant funding, etc., and work at the grassroots level to impact changes alongside elected officials and the local NAACP branch.

It will be held at the MSJC Menifee campus on Tuesday, November 28th, from 7- 8 p.m.
