The ORBITS application is now live, please feel free to share with students who might be interested! Deadline to apply is on September 5, 2023. Below you will find more information about the program:


Overview:

  *   ORBITS (Obtain Resources, Become Informed, Target Success) focuses on the development and exploration of career and life skills for first-generation second- and third-year transfer students. In addition to learning about the career-decision-making process, this two-quarter program helps students establish mentor relationships and includes on-site visits with employers. ORBITS takes place over fall and winter quarters.

·         Gain leadership, communication, time management and decision-making skills

·         Be assigned with a professional mentor



 Eligibility:

·         You are a first-generation college student, who is either a sophomore or an incoming transfer student at UCR, 

·         Must have close to a 2.5 GPA to apply. (Transfer students can use previous college GPA)
