Dear Campus Partners,

I hope that your fall quarter is off to a great start!

In the Academic Resource Center (ARC), we kicked off the fall quarter with our open house event, “Bring On the Highlander Spirit!” Thank you to everyone that stopped by. 😊

We are excited to continue supporting UCR’s undergraduate students through programming that aims to empower students to grow intellectually and personally as they pursue their goals.

Please share the following information with students, staff, and faculty in your area.

Operating Hours and Services – Our hours are 8am – 6pm, Monday – Thursday and 8am – 5pm on Fridays. The ARC offers both in-person and online programming. Program schedules and other information can be found on our website (https://arc.ucr.edu/).

Transfer Student Programming – Transfer Success Programs (TSP) is hosting a number of events this quarter including the Graduate and Professional School Series, to help shed light on the graduate/professional school admissions process. Information can be found on the attached flyer. National Transfer Student Week (NTSW) is October 17th – 21st! See attached flyer for details on NTSW events! Please also consider attending the “Identifying, Creating, and Promoting a Transfer Receptive Culture in the UCs” training hosted by the UC Transfer Success Coalition on October 18th, 11am – 12:30pm via Zoom (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/identifying-creating-promoting-a-transfer-receptive-culture-in-the-ucs-tickets-416878192897).

ARC Workshops & Presentations – The ARC offers several workshops to support students in developing various academic and life skills! The R’Success Workshops cover topics including time management, public speaking, and test preparation. The ARC is also hosting Writing & Reading Support workshops on topics including writing introductions, annotating readings, and writing formats/styles. See the attached flyer for additional details!
