an organization focused on vaccine equity and rapid health intervention
through the lens of community, and the Riverside County Black Chamber of
Commerce have partnered together to expand the Trim the Hesitancy Project
into San Bernardino County. The project seeks to address vaccine hesitancy
and improve health equity amongst Black youth in the Inland Empire.

The Trim the Hesitancy Project seeks to utilize Black Barbershops and
Beauty Salons, spaces that have long held deep cultural significance for
our community, as a new arena for healthcare justice, promoting vaccine
efficacy and new community-based health and wellness strategies.

As we strive to build a healthier Inland Empire, where Black Wellness
reaches new bounds. We believe now is the time to invest in the future of
our healthcare ecosystem with job opportunities and skill-based trainings
for the next generation. We are excited to announce the start of the Black
Wellness Fellowship, a paid opportunity for Black students and young adults
to be on the forefront of building a healthier Inland Empire and help them
develop their community outreach and organizing skills through our
strategic outreach work.

The Black Wellness Fellows will help expand the Trim the Hesitancy Project
to San Bernardino County by developing partnerships with local Black
Barbershops and Beauty Salons that would enable the Trim the Hesitancy
Project to reach more members of our community. Black Wellness Fellows
would be expected to work 15-20 hours a week through June 30th. Fellows
will be compensated $15.00/hour for their work on the project.

Interested applicants should be local students or young adults who have an
interest in public health, improving their community, and community
organizing.
