[Allgsacstudents] Fw: Grad Slam Final at the Culver: April 8th

We will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of Grad Slam<https://gsrc.ucr.edu/grad-slam-2024> at UCR on April 8th at the Barbara and Arts Culver Center for the Arts<https://ucrarts.ucr.edu/> on April 8th from 5-7 pm.  Grad Slam is a UC systemwide speaking competition for graduate students to present their research to a non-expert audience in 3 minutes, with a single visual aid. Provost and EVC Watkins is scheduled to give opening remarks and to hand out the cash awards. Our UCR champion will travel to San Francisco on May 3rd to compete against their fellow winners from across the UC system.



As you can see from the flyer, two CNAS graduate students, S Gangothri (EEOB) and Alyssa Valdez (ENSC) will be competing. The audience will be able to vote for an audience choice favorite.
