[Allgsacstudents] GradSuccess Stress Relief Fair Today 8/2

Good afternoon all,

While it's fairly quiet on campus right now going into the dog days of August, I did want to send a reminder about two upcoming graduate student events we'll be hosting. Please share, forward, and/or post widely.

First is the Stress Relief Fair, which is coming up this Tuesday, August 2nd from 4:30pm-6:30pm in a NEW LOCATION - the Physics Courtyard. We'll have free tacos, an art table, therapy puppies, and chair massages in a relaxed, well-shaded area not far from Orbach Library.

Second is our online Art Night with drawing instructor (and UCR MFA) Cara Joven, which will be on Tuesday, August 16th from 6-8pm. This is a really fun, relaxed event to enjoy at home with kids and other family members. Register at: https://gsrc.ucr.edu/community#art_night.

One of the most challenging aspects of being a graduate student is juggling numerous responsibilities, such as classes, research, and teaching, while still taking the time for self-care and building a supportive community; but, don't worry! We are here to help you.

Finally, our Coffee Socials continue every Wednesday through the end of August from 3-4pm in the Physics Courtyard. Grab a coffee/tea and free snacks and take a quick afternoon break with some friends!
