Dear students,

I am still looking for students to participate tomorrow (7/25).  I had a few cancellations. For all STEM students that participate I will provide $40 Dining Dollar Gift Cards.

Once again it will be a facilitated student panel at the Bourns Technology Center – which is off campus. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time. Parking is free at Bourns.

We're super excited to have you and our UCR undergrads participate in the STEM Solutions Learning Lab! We have about 50 students registered from 20 different high schools in the region.

Room setup: There will be several round tables set up in the large room. Last year after the UCR students introduced themselves, we had them stationed at a particular table where they could answer questions from the high school students. The high school students bounced around the tables.

Grad Time Selfcare for Graduate Students is a series designed to provide graduate students with a space to network, de-stress, & feel more connected with their peers through comunidad (community) & culture. This space would be open for individuals to receive massage therapy, enjoy a free-flowing space to speak on mental health and have engaging activities designed for students to connect over their shared background, such as culturally relevant games, art, and puzzles geared towards stress relief.

This scholarship was created in memory of Eusebio Sanchez honoring María de los Ángeles Sánchez, sponsored by the Ramirez familia. In partnership with UCR Chicano Student Programs and Chicano Latino Alumni, the Ramirez familia founded this scholarship to assist and uplift scholars who are farmworkers or children of farmworkers, formerly or currently unhoused, undocumented, and Chicano Latino students.

ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS

1) Applicants must be UCR undergraduate students.
2) Applicants must have a 2.5 grade point average or higher.
3) Applicants must meet at least two of the following:
      a). Applicants or their parents must be or have recently been farmworkers. Owners of farms are not eligible.
      b). Applicants must be formerly or currently unhoused.
      c). Applicants must be undocumented.
4) Applicants must turn in application with required documentation.
