Good morning,

My name is Maria Wuerker and I am an MA candidate in the Department of the
History of Art and Architecture at Tufts University. I am reaching out to
share information about a Call for Papers/Proposals for our inaugural issue
of *Ekphrasis: An Art History Graduate Journal*, to be published in Spring
2026. Please find attached our official Call for Papers.

*Ekphrasis *is an online scholarly journal produced by the graduate
students of the Department of the History of Art and Architecture at Tufts
University. Published annually in partnership with Tisch Library, the
journal will provide a platform for art historical exploration and analysis
through which budding scholars may broaden and nuance the field. Graduate
submissions, including academic essays and book reviews, may address
artworks and related topics ranging from ancient to contemporary, drawing
upon any number of methodological and ideological frameworks. As this is
our inaugural issue, there is no designated theme; we welcome submissions
on any art historical topic. A section highlighting New England-area
exhibitions will give graduate students both within and beyond the region
an opportunity to engage with the art historical/museological landscape in
this area.

We would be grateful if you could help us circulate this announcement to
graduate students (MA or PhD) who may be interested in contributing.
Submissions
are due on or before January 20, 2026. If students have any questions
regarding the journal at large, they are encouraged to reach out via email
to *kristen.lauritzen at tufts.edu <kristen.lauritzen at tufts.edu>* or
*kate.haggarty at tufts.edu
<kate.haggarty at tufts.edu>*.

Thank you for your help in sharing this opportunity!

Best regards,
Maria Wuerker
