*Did you know financial aid is available for summer classes?*
*Click here to review the estimated aid
<https://extensibility.ucr.edu/BannerExtensibility/customPage/page/ZURSUPA/>
that may be available to you if you enroll in a minimum of 8 units through
UCR Summer Sessions. *Any grants offered WILL NOT reduce your regular
academic year grants.
*What are the next steps?* This is just an *estimate* of your potential aid
for summer 2026. Complete these steps and the Financial Aid Office will
automatically provide an *official award offer* to you in Late May/Early
June:
• Enroll in a minimum of 8 units for Summer Sessions 2026 at UCR. *Registration
starts April 1, 2026!* Check R'Web today for your time ticket.
• Have and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 or above.
• Monitor your UCR email for requests or updates from the Financial Aid
Office
*YOU PAY FOR 8*
During the summer, UC undergrads pay tuition for just their first 8 units!
That means if you take 12 units, you’re not paying the per unit fee for 4
of those units. Use the Cost Calculator on the Summer Sessions website
<https://summer.ucr.edu/cost-aid> to see what your summer tuition and fees
will look like.
And don’t forget…the most popular session length during the summer is just
5 weeks long! That leaves plenty of time to enjoy your summer!
*SUMMER STUDY ABROAD AND FINANCIAL AID*
If you are studying abroad this summer, you can *request a financial aid
estimate for participating in your program.* Your summer financial aid
package may be applied to your credit-bearing University of California
Education Abroad Programs (UCEAP )
<https://uceap.universityofcalifornia.edu/> and FLEAP. *Note: You have
until April 1 to withdraw from your FLEAP program without any financial
consequences. If you withdraw from your FLEAP after April 1, you’ll forfeit
your program deposit and all CMF program fees.*
