Dear all,

This is to inform that:

Condolences
for
The Most Venerable Phra Ratcharatanamoli (Dr. Nakhon
Khemapali)
=========

We are saddened to learn of the passing of the Most
Venerable Phra Ratcharatanamoli (Dr. Khemapali
Bhikkhu), who was an important messenger in the
propagation of the Lord Buddha’s teaching. He was
assistant abbot to Wat Maha That, Tha Phra Chan, Phra
Nakhon district and advisor to the rector of
Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalya University and we feel
this loss deeply. He served Buddhism, and the cause of
Buddhist unity, in many ways throughout his entire
life.

The Most Venerable Dr. Khemapali was well known
throughout the world for his integrity, and for his
dedication to the Dhamma and the Vinaya, and will be
remembered with deep affection, both at home and
abroad, for a very long time to come. His passing is a
genuine loss for us all and for Buddhists all over the
world. The Most Venerable Dr. Khemapali passed away,
having fallen victim to cancer, at 19:59 pm on May
29th BE2551/CE2008 at his resident quarter, Section 3,
Wat Maha That, Bangkok, Thailand at age 86. The Royal
bathing ceremony is to be held on May 31st BE2551 to
honor his dedication and hard work for Buddhism.
May he attain the blessing of the Lord Buddha. Let us
observe a moment of silence in his memory.
