Dear Colleagues,

It is our pleasure to inform you that the Faculty of Psychology, Chulalongkorn

University, Thailand, is collaborating with the University of Queensland, Australia, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in hosting the 2nd Asian Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) Conference between 20-21 October 2008 at Sasa Patasala, Chulalongkorn University. The main theme for the conference will be "Cross-cultural Integration in CBT: Moving beyond the Boundaries". The conference is aimed at maximizing the application of CBT in Asia through the documentation and showcasing of the applications of CBT in the region, the illustration of cultural influence on CBT effectiveness, the advancement of CBT assessment and theories, as well as the exploration of the commonalities and differences between CBT and Buddhist Psychology. The conference should benefit researchers, mental health practitioners, and graduate students who are interested in mental health.

Attached here please find the files for the brochures for the 2nd Asian Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) Conference. Would you please be kind enough to help publicize/circulate the brochures in your institute so that your colleagues/students would have an opportunity to attend or participate in the paper presentation at the conference, and, hence, be the part of the taskforce to promote CBT in Asia? You may find additional information regarding the conference at http://www.psy.chula.ac.th/asiancbt2.htm

Thank you in advance for your kind assistance and looking forward to seeing you at the 2nd Asian Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) Conference "Cross-cultural Integration in CBT: Moving beyond the Boundaries".

Sincerely yours
