Dear All,

I wanted to call your attention to the latest issue of Aséanie
(vol. 17). It includes some provocative articles on Lao
marriage and politics and Cambodian ethnic groups. The reviews
are also well worth close read.

For those who haven't had the chance to read the Journal
Aséanie, it publishes high-quality articles on Lao, Cambodian,
Thai, Burmese, and Vietnamese Studies subjects (history,
anthropology, art, archaelogy, contemporary politics and
religion, and philology). Each issue usually includes a new
English translation of a classic article in the field as well.
The articles are in French and English. It is published out of
the Sirindhorn Anthropology Center in Bangkok/Thonburi under
the auspices of the EFEO.

It is particularly recommended for those in Angkorian Studies,
Colonial Studies in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, Buddhist
Studies, and Anthropology.
