Dear Director Ying,

We invite you and your network at the Dirty Lab and the UC Global Health
Institute Planetary Health Center to attend a water seminar on Friday,
February 23rd at 12:00 pm. by Dr. Kristiana Hansen.

At this talk Dr. Kristiana Hansen will discuss how the Colorado River Basin
has been experiencing persistently dry hydrology for over two decades, with
policymakers across the basin proactively seeking ways to stretch existing
water supplies to meet demands. During the seminar, Dr. Hansen will also
describe her current efforts to expand available scientific information,
and the role this information can play in assisting policymakers, water
users, and other stakeholders in the Upper Basin make informed decisions to
resolve the crisis.

I hope that this might be a relevant event for you and your network because
it goes hand in hand with your research on how biogeochemical processes
combined with human use of water and soils impact planetary health at the
Dirty Lab, as well as your focus on water insecurity as one of the root
causes of global health disparity at the UC Global Health Institute
Planetary Health Center.
