<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">This past year, many of you expressed interest in having access to build and update your own sites in Drupal. I’m happy to announce that departments within Student Affairs will now have complete ownership
to build and update their own websites. As I work with University Communications for the transfer of website ownership, I want to guide you through the process and provide support through the transition.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Identify staff within your department that would like access and training, and send that list to myself no later than Monday, Oct. 18. I will update
a working document with University Communications who will grant editing access to the site.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Have your staff register to a
<a href="https://websites.ucr.edu/training/training-sessions#no-back">Training course</a> conducted by ITS.
<b>*Training is required for website use. </b><o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Paul Simon and Johnny Lam will also schedule supplemental Drupal sessions every month to assist with the transition. These sessions will be an opportunity
to learn more of the day-to-day Drupal updates. There will be time for Q&A on the related topic. The idea is to increase your knowledge on more practical Drupal features so that you can manage your website. They are looking to have the first session end of
Oct, but please take the Drupal training first. </span><o:p></o:p></li></ol>
