Giving Back
Food Needed for families of Riverside
Show Them You Care!

Chicano Student Programs along with our student organizations are once again partnering with HeART Enterprise for their annual food and turkey drive.
  We are asking for your support and consideration of donating can foods and/or make a donation for the purchase of turkeys for local Riverside residents (500 families).
You can drop off your donation to our office (145 Costo Hall - UC Riverside) or we can pick them up. Deadline for donations is November 15. For more information or to schedule a pick up please contact us at (951) 827-3821

The items will be distributed at the:
10th Annual Giving Back Community Resource Fair
Saturday, November 17, 2012
co-sponsored by the City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department
The fair will be from 10am to 2pm at the Bobby Bonds/Cesar Chavez Community Center in Riverside located at 2060 University Avenue in Riverside. The event will include information booths, local entertainment, jumpers and a Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway.
Various ways you can get involved:
1. Collect Non-Perishable food items (we will have a drop off in CSP- 145 Costo Hall)
2. Collect Money/Donations or Grocery Store Gift Cards to help purchase turkeys
3. Volunteers needed to help assemble baskets.
4. Volunteers needed the day of the event.
5. Have an information booth or activity for the youth on the day of the event

Volunteers Needed:
Friday, November 16
help with preparations the day before the event
need volunteers from 9am to 9pm for deliveries
actual basket filling will be 5 to 9pm - Cesar Chavez Community Center - 2060 University Ave. Riverside

Saturday, November 17
day of the event
Cesar Chavez Community Center - 2060 University Ave. Riverside
volunteers needed from 8am-4pm
Sign up the whole day or for a shift 8-11am, 11am-2pm, or 2-4pm

If you can volunteer please indicate the day and time. Please include your telephone number. If you would like to make a contribution you can drop off at Chicano Student Programs (University of California Riverside - 145 Costo Hall) or we can pick up.
