[Vcsa-announcements] Volunteers Still Needed for Highlander Information Booths

Hey Everyone!
We still need for more volunteers for the Highlander Info Booths during the first four days of classes. We need volunteers during the following times:

Thursday Sept. 22: 6:30am-9am, 11am-1pm, 1-3:30pm
Friday Sept. 23: 6:30am-9am
Monday Sept. 26: 11am-1pm, 1pm-3:30pm
Tuesday Sept. 27: 11am-1pm, 1pm-3:30pm

Any shift that you could help out with would be awesome and its guaranteed to be a good time!

Subject: [Vcsa-announcements] Volunteers Needed for Highlander Information Booths

Dear VCSA Colleagues,
Student Life needs volunteers for the Highlander Information Booths during the first 4 days of classes!
This is a chance for you to assist UCR students (which will most likely be first years, with the occasional senior who can't find a building) find where they need to go for class, answer any UCR-related questions that we can, AND strongly encourage them to participate in Highlander Welcome events. Assisting UCR students to navigate their way around campus as well as answering any of their questions to help start off their 2011-2012 school year is an extremely rewarding experience as you already know. We need enthusiastic volunteers to have a smile on their face and that are ready to help some students out. This is a great opportunity to be able to help students on their first couple days of school and make them feel comfortable on campus. On top of that this is also a great way to meet other UCR staff as well as some incredible student volunteers.
We also have an awesome incentive for all who volunteer for more than 2 hours this year!
We will have four days of information booths at various locations as follows:
 Thursday 9/22: from 6:30am-3:30pm (inclusive of setup/cleanup)
Friday 9/23: from 6:30am-1:00pm (inclusive of setup/cleanup)
Monday 9/26: from 6:30am-3:30pm (inclusive of setup/cleanup)
Tuesday 9/27: from 6:30am-3:30pm (inclusive of setup/cleanup)
There are different shifts that you can sign up for. If you are interested in assisting us, please follow the link and fill out the form to indicate at which times you are available to participate.

 Please fill out the form as soon as possible to aid in scheduling assignments for the 2011 Highlander Information Booths. Feel free to sign up for as many, time slots as you'd like, and then we'll complete our staff schedule. Please also indicate what student organizations you are a part of if you want your time spent to count as community service hours.
