FOURTH ANNUAL CELEBRATION FOR A DAY OF APPRECIATION AND RECOGNITIION OF WOMEN STUDENTS
UC Riverside, Thursday, March 1, 6 - 8 PM, Highlander Union Building 355
For the past three years, to commemorate national Women's History Month, the Women's Resource Center has honored undergraduate and graduate women students, in good standing, for achievements that have impacted the UCR community and, in some instances, society as a whole. This new period, the Center is pleased to announce a call for nominations for the fourth annual venue, the Celebration for A Day of Appreciation and Recognition of Women Students, that will showcase the most recent students selected by campus-wide committee. In keeping with the Chancellor's Proclamation and The Leadership Community for Women Initiative, the Center encourages the community to give rise to the Day by nominating undergraduate and graduate females to receive awards for leadership and civic engagement, social justice, and overcoming adversity.  To nominate students, please visit http://wrc.ucr.edu/Pages/awardNomination.aspx.  To serve on the awards selection committee instead, visit http://wrc.ucr.edu/Pages/awardsCommittee.aspx.  The deadline either way is December 2.
