[Vcsa-announcements] Important information regarding the 2011-2012 UCR General Catalog

Colleagues,

Effective with the 2011-12 edition, the UC Riverside General Catalog will be available in online format only. Printed copies will no longer be produced by the Office of Student Affairs Communications for distribution or for sale through the UCRCampus Store.  With this change, UCR joins the ranks of UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, and UCI who are making similar changes to their catalogs for reasons ranging from budget cuts to concerns about the environment.

In the very near future, we will announce several exciting and innovative ways for you, your staff, and your students to access the catalog. As in the past, individualswill be welcome to print their own hard copy of the catalog – in part or in whole. A variety of pdf versions will be available online specifically for these purposes. The pdf versions can also be downloaded to an individual's computer as needed.

Please note, because of the archival nature of the general catalog, updates and changes will continue to be made on an annual basis only, as is currently done.
