Hello Colleagues,

We have an opportunity as part of our system-wide sexual assault grant to participate in an upcoming webinar! Please consider attending and/or invite staff from your offices that might also be interested in this topic.

The webinar is occurring on March 31, 2009 from 11:00am-12:30pm. Housing has generously offered to host us in the Pentland Hills Bearcave, B107 (please rsvp with Alicia at alicias at ucr.edu if you are planning on attending by Monday, April 30th, 2009) and will be focused on Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) and Bystander Intervention. It will be presented by Jennifer Grove and Lauren Sogor from National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC).

Summary: This webinar will highlight new information and resources from the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) related to Sexual Assault Awareness Month. It will include an overview of a new presentation focused on bystander intervention, with tips on how to adapt the workshop to specific campus settings. In addition, the NSVRC will discuss upcoming plans for the 2010 campaign focused on campus communities.
