UCR Staff and Faculty,
Please take a moment of your time today to think of any current UCR students
that you feel would make an excellent Bear Facts Orientation Counselor this
summer. We are currently accepting applications online (links are provided
within the email below) for students to be a counselor for the 2009 Bear
Facts Highlander Student Orientation Program. As you may know, this program
is a premiere leadership opportunity (that happens to be an exciting and fun
summer job as well :-) ) for students that want to help new incoming
students and their families transition into college life, UCR and join the
Highlander Family. We think that a personal email from you to any/all
students that you think would be great Orientation Counselors will encourage
them to apply, and a great way to recognize students you work with for their
ability to make a difference and latent leadership potential.
Feel free to email me back if you have any questions. Please remove this
section of the email when you forward it on, and feel free to include a
personalized message to the student stating why you think they should apply.
Thank you!
