[Vcsa-announcements] Director Departure

Dear Colleagues,

It is with mixed emotion that I announce our Director of Technology Services, Rick Nornholm, will be leaving the University effective February 22, 2008.  Of course we are happy for Rick, but we are sad to see him leave.
  
During his tenure at UCR, Rick has worked tirelessly to enhance and improve the services offered in our Technology department.  Under his leadership the role of VCSA TS has increased dramatically and will continue to build on the foundation he has developed.  Although we will certainly miss him, we wish him the best at his new home in San Diego where he will be able to enjoy an ocean view (rather than the cement walls of Hinderaker's basement).  :)

Please join us in saying farewell at a party to be held on Thursday, February 21 from 3 to 5pm.  Further details on location, etc. will follow in a separate email.

On a related note, I am pleased to announce that Sean Dillingham has agreed to act as Interim Director during this transitional time.
