[Vcsa-announcements] New Staff in Financial Aid

It's my pleasure to announce that the Financial Aid Office recently hired 2 
new Financial Aid Assistants.  They are James Jaennette, who comes to us 
from Westwood College, with 5 years of experience in financial aid, and 
Teresa Zavala, formerly from the UCI Medical Center. They are already very 
busy, doing a great job of assisting students at our front counter and on 
the phone.

In addition, I'm pleased to announce the promotion of Janice Darling from 
Financial Aid Counselor to Assistant Director, Counseling, effective Sept. 
1.  Janice replaces Nancy Outlaw, who retired last year.  Prior to joining 
UCR in 2003, Janice worked for many years at CSUSB and has a total of 27 
years of financial aid experience.  She will supervise our Financial Aid 
Counseling unit, comprised of 9 financial aid professionals who each handle 
a specific student aid program and a caseload of approximately 1400 
students. Janice will be your new contact if you need to schedule a 
counselor for a financial aid presentation. Congratulations, Janice!
