[UWPadvising] ENGL001A course name change

*Please disregard if currently enrolled in ENGL001A during the Spring or Summer quarters*


Dear Student,

Our records indicate that you have not yet taken and passed the first quarter course (ENGL 001A) in the English Composition breadth requirement.

English 1A (Beginning Composition) has been renamed: Writing 10 (Academic Writing).  This newly renamed course will be available for enrollment beginning in Fall 2025.  If you plan to enroll in ENGL 001A in the fall quarter or beyond, you will need to search for WRIT 010 in the Schedule of Classes.
ENGL001A is still offered during Summer Sessions A and B.

Should you have additional questions regarding this change or need further assistance to enroll in the appropriate course for the Fall 2025 quarter, please contact UWP staff at uwp at ucr.edu.
