<u>incoming</u> <u>freshman</u> with a volunteer Peer Mentor</span></strong> from UCR to give our new students a sense of belonging and access to a peer network. Mentor Collective® utilizes text messaging, without the need for a downloaded app, to
<strong><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">connect mentors and mentees together using their phones</span></strong>. Mentor Collective conducts recruitment, surveys and matches student pairs, provides mentor training, has text message-based notes and

Create Thirst Academy is a youth enrichment program serving the under-served and low-income households in our community. They provide free tutoring, SAT preparation workshops, FAFSA completion workshop, Mentoring and a holistic approach to development a thirst

curriculum (e.g. Moreno Valley School district). Students will start on Saturday, October 24<sup>th</sup> and will tutor for 12 consecutive Saturdays. Students will be compensated $20 an hour. Lastly, students who fulfill the requirements will move on to the
selection process and will be asked to participate in an interview.<o:p></o:p></span></li></ul>

The Riverside Cal-SOAP Consortium conducts a series of classroom workshops on college opportunities, entrance requirements, transcript self-evaluations, and college and financial aid applications. Cal-SOAP also provides small group advising sessions to assist
selected students in maximizing their abilities and opportunities and exploring college options.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

a part of the classified service. It is the intent of RCOE to employ college/university undergraduate and graduate students to fill these positions. The Cal-SOAP College Success Coach works closely with school counselors and is directly responsible to the
