Dear UCR Undergrad Student Listserv,

I am writing to you from UCSF with an exciting announcement for The Undergrad Student Listserv. We are launching the new UC-wide Climate Resilience Course, an innovative cross-campus class bringing world leaders in climate science, advocacy, and activism to UC students. We would be so grateful if you could share this exciting new course for UC Riverside students.

Do you feel climate distress? Students can learn climate science in many classes, but now they can also learn about psychosocial resilience, through the new UC-wide Climate Resilience Course!

This is an innovative cross-campus class bringing world leaders in climate science, advocacy, and activism to UC students. The UC Climate Resilience course is designed to allow students to gain invaluable resilience skills to navigate and build a meaningful future in the midst of the climate crisis. This class aims to fill a critical gap in climate education and well-being, building on the science of personal and social resilience and climate change action, creating a sense of belonging, and motivating empowerment and self-efficacy via actionable projects. Students will watch lectures from world renowned leaders in climate science and action/advocacy, take part in in-person mindfulness sessions led by course faculty leaders and mindfulness-trained instructors, and attend live UC-wide Zoom lectures. Additional course information can be found at our website, https://www.climateresilience.online/ as well as written about in the UCSF recent newsletter which can be accessed here.<https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/news/got-climate-anxiety-uc-course-can-help> <https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/news/got-climate-anxiety-uc-course-can-help>

Register now for Global Studies (GBST 190): Special Topics in Global Studies with Dr. Juliann Allison.

Can you please share this announcement for students in your next listserv as students are now signing up for Spring 2024 classes? Thank you so much for your time, and please don't hesitate to reach out with any additional questions!

Warmly,
