Hi UCR Community,

Do you want to be more sociable? If so, consider signing up for the “Be More Social” study taking place in spring quarter carried about by researchers at the Positive Activity and Well-Being Lab at UCR’s Department of Psychology.

Your participation would involve changing your behavior for 6 weeks, reporting about your experiences through three brief online surveys weekly, and visiting the lab 3 times to complete additional surveys and provide a small blood sample (5 drops).
You will receive a $20 Amazon gift card for completing the first 30-minute lab visit. You will also receive a $10 Amazon gift card for completing an online-only survey after Week 3, a $30 Amazon gift card for completing a 30-minute lab visit after Week 8, and a $20 Amazon gift card for completing a 30-minute lab visit at 1-month follow-up (for a total of $80 in Amazon gift cards for completing all surveys and visits).

To participate, you must:
1) Want to be more sociable
2) Be at least 18 years old

Undergraduate students, graduate students, staff, and the broader UCR community are welcome.

To sign up, please email UCRsocialstudy at gmail.com<mailto:UCRsocialstudy at gmail.com> to indicate your interest. Will request your availability for a 30 minute appointment at UCR’s PAWLab to go over informed consent, complete surveys if you choose to participate, provide a small blood sample, and to get instructions for the rest of the study.

We will email you to confirm your appointment date and time.

Please feel free to email lead researcher, Ramona Martinez, MSc, MA at rmart091 at ucr.edu<mailto:rmart091 at ucr.edu> with any questions.

Many thanks,
Ramona Martinez, MSc, MA (rmart091 at ucr.edu<mailto:rmart091 at ucr.edu>)
